Can a parked domain name get top Google Rankings?
I was recently asked this question. At first, my answer was “I don’t know”. Then I put it to the test. I took one of our domain names, leasespecials.net, and parked it at Parked.com. I then customized the meta tags, optimizing them for the keyword “lease specials”. Several weeks later, I noticed I was getting clicks from this domain name. Sure enough, it was #10 at Google. As of the time of this posting, it is #8 at Google. It may be different by the time you read this, but I have attached the search engine page to this post here
leasespecials.net Google Ranking at #8
You can see where we are ranked now here
http://www.google.com/search?q=lease+specialshttp://www.google.com/search?q=lease+specials. Each click we get is worth about $0.70 .
I suggest you get a Parked.com account and try it for yourself. Keyword rich domains work especially well there.
Here is what our parked page looks like.
leasespecials.net
And dont forget, this domain name is for sale, just like all the domains listed on this website.
